Company Profile

In 1980, Harlan K. Hyde Sr., current President, founded Hyde Park Landscape, Inc (HPL) in Norwich, Connecticut. HPL was started to provide landscape installation and maintenance for residential and commercial customers.



The first year of operation HPL had two full time employees and one part time employee. Throughout the years, with more experience HPL grew into more of a full service landscape company. In 2002, Brandon D. Hyde, current Vice President, joined the family business in a full time capacity. This came upon after graduating with a degree in Horticulture from the University of Connecticut and previous work experience in the nursery industry. That same year HPL acquired a well-known landscape company located on the shoreline of southeastern Connecticut. This strengthened our maintenance division and added a more noticeable presence in communities including Mystic, Noank and Groton Long Point.



In 2004 HPL added on a landscape design division. This step was motivated by a desire to produce higher quality projects. HPL hired on leading graduates from the Landscape Architecture program at the University of Connecticut.



Today, 27 years later, HPL has developed into a full service residential and commercial, design/build and property maintenance company. Providing our services throughout Eastern Connecticut and beyond.


HPL now employs upwards of twenty professionals, some of which have been with us for over twenty years. We are committed to excellence and leadership with in our industry and have earned a reputation as a leading landscape company in Connecticut.
